 Stem
Elbow 
A Stem elbow is commonly used in
central heating systems. It particularly provides a swivel type
connection, ensuring that the pipe can be oriented in any direction.
Some stem elbows are specifically designed to simplify pipe connection
in restricted spaces. A few types are as follows:
- Male stem 1"NPT X 22MM Brass
- Male stem 1/2"NPT X 15MM Brass
- Male stem 1/4"NPT X 15MM Brass
- Male stem 3/4"NPT X 22MM Brass
- Male stem 3/8"BSP X 15MM Stem

Stem elbows should not be used in systems where
water containing high levels of chlorine is involved such as swimming
pools, fountains etc. They should also be kept away from direct exposure
to sunlight, solder flux and cellulose based paints.
